Chef Bill Sharpe

A Little History….

Bill Sharpe is a graduate of George Brown College, (he says a long time ago) in the 3 year Apprenticeship Program. From there he started his “culinary journey” in many restaurants and hotels in the Ontario region.

In the many years of his culinary journey, Chef Bill Sharpe has had the pleasure to work as an Entremetier, Apprentice cook working up to and including “Head Chef” of many well established and well known locations.

Some of his most treasured experiences and life long lessons occurred when he was “Head Chef” of Holiday Inn’s in Hespler (now known as Cambridge) and in Barrie Ontario. Chef Bill Sharpe has been an Executive Chef for restaurants and Hotel/Resort establishments such as the Four Seasons Hotel in Bellville ON, Burlington Golf & Country Club in Burlington, ON and was the Corporate Chef who opened and managed 5 Copperfield Restaurants in many locations throughout Ontario.

From there, Chef Bill was the co-owner along side his wife Misty Ingraham in two ventures…”Chez Bear Bistro and Cooking School” in Downtown Toronto and “The Portable Feast” in Hamilton ON. With raving reviews from Hamilton Spectator’s own Suzanne Bourret entitled “The Portable Feast Gets My Applause”….and within a day of the review…Both co-owners and chefs, Bill Sharpe and Misty Ingraham were the talk of the town and they never looked back.

Now Bill Sharpe has added a “new twist” to his culinary passion. What better way to share his passion for the industry than to pass on his knowledge and “some secrets” to his students….who may one day follow the similar path of success. Bill Sharpe has been with us for almost 2 years now here at Liaison College School of Culinary Arts. Chef Bill demands hard work, dedication to their studies and most of all…a sense of passion and creativity that will lead them on their “own successful path” one day. Many of “Chef Bill’s” students have stated that they have much respect and admiration for their “Chef”. They welcome his challenges, his wisdom and his comments both good and bad. The students say…… “This is how we learn”.
